Getting More Visitors with Your Existing Content

Getting More Visitors with Your Existing Content

You can increase your visitors over a few months and the best part is, you can do it without publishing any additional content, spending more money on marketing, or adding additional resources to your team. This has often been referred to as “Mission Week,” and we at Top Advertising Soutions will tell you how to do it. When you were new to blogging, you probably created tons of content as fast as you could. This is a doomed strategy. Hundreds of posts can still only barely move the needle on overall traffic. Content promotion and link building however can make a real impact. Content promotion needs to be focused, have clear goals, and of course offer relevant pieces of content. Mission Week can help you get the visitors you’re looking for.

Mission Week

Mission Week consists of choosing a piece of content which is under performing and then focusing your promotional efforts on solely this piece of content. You can even make this process like a game and assign points to several types of promotional work. For instance, distributing an outreach email can get you a point, fixing broken links can earn you 2 points, and 5 points could be awarded for writing a guest blog which links to the target article. Make the goal to reach 20 points to finish the “mission” for that week. Regardless of your role in the company, you should be able to participate. If you don’t write articles, you can earn points through outreach emails, finding linking opportunities, or responding to relevant, customer questions. As part of Mission Week, you’ll also perform minor content updates and maybe change the title and meta tags if needed. The goal with the point system is to make it small enough that it doesn’t take up as much time and becomes overwhelming. You should be able to meet the point goals without compromising your regular weekly tasks. Involving everyone at your company, even those outside marketing, helps to create more vibrant, diverse supporting content. This way, people with a variety of skills are focused on promoting the same piece of content. This is great for team building and as the saying goes, “Two heads are better than one.”
